Red white and blue

Due to an eye issue I haven't been able to wear contacts this week- it has been a challenge matching up these red framed Versace frames with my very pink wardrobe. Navy has been my best friend this week and I'm obsessed with this pretty lace Lilly Pulitzer Iona shell. I'm wearing it with white Joe's Jeans, a navy Lilly Pulitzer cardigan from last fall. For jewelry I'm in a very gold phase and am wearing a Kate Spade necklace with bangles by Lilly Pulitzer, Bourbon & Boweties and Tory Burch (with my Fitbit hidden inside- bonus!!!).

Samoan Sand

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have been uber busy the past few months. Between the boutique being busy ( which I couldn't be happier about!) and trying to get our new house situated I have had NO time for myself! I have been trying to squeeze a mani/pedi into my schedule, but until that happens I broke down tonight and did them myself. This is one of my all time favorite OPI shades, called "Samoan Sand". It is the perfect neutral, clean looking shade. The perfect compliment to any outfit (which is perfect for me, since I never know what I'm wearing for the day until I'm 5 minutes away from leaving the house in the am!).

Crazy for Trina Turk Resort 2013

So, I'm sure this is somewhat fueled by the fact that I live in sunny fl (as it is only the middle of January, and I believe many of my northern friends are preparing for a bit of a snowstorm- if my Facebook newsfeed is accurate) but I am SO excited for the beautiful colors, prints, and of course adornment of the latest collection by Trina Turk. It is inspired by the Miami art scene, so really, what is not to love about it!

I wore the brightly colored tropical print maxi to Ft. Lauderdale a few days ago while I was down there visiting a girlfriend. It is not only fun, but incredibly comfy! It is a jersey fabric so it didn't even wrinkle on the 2.5 hour drive!!! I think it will be perfect for cruises as well since the light weight construction would absolutely work as a fabulous bathing suit cover up. Obviously I think this is a must have for anyone living or visiting a warm climate ( and based on customer feedback, it appears to be flattering on all body types- huge bonus!!!)

There are also similarly printed tops and shorter dresses in the collection to meet any and all of your warm weather needs. The most beautiful piece, in my opinion, is an aqua colored silk top. It has contrasting orange around the neckline and is intricately bejeweled to add a whole other layer of interest and beauty. I think it will be perfect when paired with white shorts and tall gold wedges ( both items I luckily already have in my closet). If you are in the Melbourne area stop by Mica & Molly's Boutique ( to see all these pieces and more in person!

mimosa colored trousers

I have heard of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, but sometimes I choose to see it through mimosa colored ones. What do you see when you have these uber chic mimosa colored glasses on??? Obviously the answer is these OJ colored trousers by French Connection! They are similiar to the cream ones I had on a few days ago, very wide legged with pleating in the front. I paired them with this fun blouse (also by French Connection)that is just sheer enough to be subtly sexy, but not so sheer that I feel like I have to wear a tank under it. This navy blouse is trimmed in pink and orange, the perfect pairing (just like OJ and champagne!). Both are from our boutique (which you can check out at ).

check mate....

So I am so obsessed with my new minty fresh manicure (see previous post) I was really inspired to create a look featuring a pastel pink to complete the sugary sweet look. This top is from my closet. It is DVF and I love the sleeves! They are poofy, but the armholes are at an angle so it fits in a super flattering way on the forearm (and I do love a poofy white shirt!). I paired it with this pale pink BCBGeneration mini skirt (now available at our boutique ), cute gold peep toes (also from my closet, they are Juicy Couture), and a great necklace that I got as a gift.

oh, and the chess set is a family heirloom, isn't it fabulous???

channeling Victoria Beckham...

Don't you just love it when you come across something that is just so....well perfect. It's like that thing that you didn't know you needed until you saw it. Love at first sight....with a dress of course!!! I am definately talking about this new French Connection dress that just arrived at our boutique ( ). It hits just below the knee, has capped sleeves and the best pale pink and black color scheme! The pink is a center insert on both the front and back of the dress (hello, super slimming illusion, and this girl is not above a little illusion dressing, that's for sure!!!). It has a very Victoria Beckham / Stella McCartney vibe (but with a much more palatable price tag of $228).
As another added bonus, I just happened to already have the absolut perfect shoe to go with it. They are these amazing Miu Miu peep toe heels in a pale pink patent leather with an adorable bow detail on the toe! Finally, an outfit that makes me happy to be an adult :)
